Is It Better To Workout At Home Or At A Gym?

Before deciding whether or not to workout in a gym or at home, there are several factors that you must take into consideration.

I will discuss some of those major factors to help make your decision easier.

Easy To Incorporate Fitness Into Your Busy Lifestyle

If your schedule is jam-packed and you’ve been so pressed for time that you haven’t worked out in 3 to 4 months even though you continue to pay your membership fees, it’s time to look at working out at home as an alternative.

Be realistic in your expectations because if you lead a busy lifestyle and are currently unable to make it to the gym, what’s going to change in the future that will give you enough time to do so?

No Expensive Gym Membership Fees

Gym membership fees will add up to a small fortune over time and besides most of us are so busy that we don’t have time to drive to and from the gym.

Not only are you missing workouts for weeks or even months at a time, you are paying membership fees that you are not using.

I know that it’s not your intention to waste your hard earned money on un-used membership fees and at the same time add new equipment at your own leisure.

No Gas-Wasting Commuting

Setting up an inexpensive home-based gym eliminates the need to commute to and from the gym. As a result, you don’t have to deal with “Crazy Road-raged” drivers, save tons of time that could be better spent with your loved ones, and not to mention all the money you’d saved on the high cost of gasoline.

By working out at home, your commute time will take only a few seconds to get to your destination.

No Waiting To Use Gym Equipment

Have you ever gone to the gym in the evening after 3pm?

If so, you have witnessed how extremely crowed it can get and the long lines that the gym members wait in to use the workout equipment.

I’ve belonged to gyms that limit aerobic equipment use during peak workout hours to only 15 to 20 minutes per person.

That’s insane because what if your exercise program call for you to do 30 plus minutes of cardio work per session?

You would have to stop your workout and get back in that long line in order to complete the rest of your cardio session.

I don’t know about you, but I would not want a 30 to 45 minute workout to turn into a 2-hour workout, all because I had to wait to use the gym equipment.

Once again, a home gym would totally eliminate this headache.

No Rude Gym Members To Deal With

Gym members are rarely rude, because most of the people who hang out in the gym value their health and life in general.

This goes back to that old saying that states, “You are the company you keep.”

Gym members are seeking a better quality of life and usually have a more positive outlook than the average person.

But there are occasions where you will bump heads with a rude and nasty gym member. For most of us, all it takes is that one bad situation to influence and change our opinions about things.

For example, if you were to eat at a restaurant and you found an insect in your meal, you will most likely never dine there again. Not to mention spread the news to everyone that you know.

My point is that all it takes is for you to have a few bad experiences in a gym and you will not want to workout there again.

With a home-based gym that problem is totally eliminated because you don’t have to worry about offensive sexual comments, profanity, members purposely taking their time using the equipment even though they know that you are waiting to use it.

Dress Comfortably Without Haven’t To Purchase The Latest Trendy Workout Clothing

Most gyms have a very strict dress code that you must follow and to make matters worst, you may feel out of place because you may feel pressured to purchase the latest workout gear.

One of the great things about working out at home is being able to dress any way you like.

You don’t have to worry about gym owners enforcing their dress code rules and having to go out to purchase expensive trendy workout clothes.

Working out at home has many advantages for those who lead busy lifestyles, work at home, stay at home moms, those that don’t want to pay expensive gym fees, and etc.

I’m not against working out at a commercial gym, but for those of us that are juggling a busy schedule, a home-based gym is practical.

The home-based gym will prevent you from missing your scheduled workouts, which is very easy to do when you lead a busy and active lifestyle.

When you combine high daily stress levels, an unbalanced diets with zero exercise, that is a sure way to developing health problems.

Some of those health problems include heart disease, stomach ulcers, diabetes, obesity, and so on. All that because you aren’t incorporated diet and exercise into your busy lifestyle.

Do yourself a favor and set up an inexpensive home-based gym and get some diet and exercise coaching, because being successful and dead is not what anyone of us has in mind.

Like the most successful businessmen and women often say, “Health and Wealth goes together.” You can’t have one without the other.
